Catholic Family Center
Catholic Family Center is Rochester's largest family service provider,
helping nearly 63,000 people each year achieve independence with dignity.
Unlike most local human service agencies that perform a few services
for one or two populations, CFC is a comprehensive agency that houses
nine major service areas for people of all ages, races, religions and
socioeconomic circumstances. In all, CFC has 60 programs within its
nine service departments, available to the community at 17 locations
throughout Monroe and Wayne Counties.
Jazz90.1/Big Road Blues
Jazz90.1 is Rochester's home for real jazz. The station broadcasts 24
hours a day, seven days a week at 90.1 FM, and over the Internet. Jazz90.1
plays more hours of live, local jazz than any radio station in the United
States. In addition the station also has shows devoted to blues, latin,
polka and more. Big Road Blues explores the forgotten history of the
blues spanning the 1920's through the 1970's. In addition to classic
artists, the show focuses an equal amount of time on those forgotten
blues figures from the past; from the once popular artists who are now
forgotten to the obscure artists who may have only cut a handful of
78's or 45's.
